Hebron/ Al Khalil Tour
About This Tour
About Me & My Hebron Tour Hi, I’m Abdallah, a local from Hebron. I’ve lived here all my life, and I’m passionate about sharing the city’s history, culture, and daily realities with visitors. I organize educational tours that show both the rich heritage and the complex realities of Hebron, combining personal stories, local insights, and encounters with the people who call this city home. I run a full-day tour in Hebron (Al-Khalil) that focuses on the city’s cultural, political, and historical importance. My goal is to help visitors understand Hebron’s complexity through local stories, personal experiences, and direct encounters with its people. During the day, we explore both the Palestinian-administered (H1) and Israeli-controlled (H2) parts of the city. I explain how life differs between these areas and share context about the situation on the ground, as well as the city’s deep historical roots. The tour includes visits to: H1 – The Palestinian-controlled part of the city, including the newer areas. H2 – The Israeli-controlled area. Al Ibrahimi Mosque (Cave of the Patriarchs). Ash-Shuhada Street, closed to Palestinians since 2000, where we discuss the impact of settlements and restricted access on daily life. The Glassblowing Factory, where traditional Hebron glass is still made by hand. The Kuffiyeh Factory, the oldest and only factory producing the traditional Palestinian scarf. The Ceramic Factory, known for its handmade pottery and colorful designs. Throughout the tour, I share insights about daily life in Hebron, the history of the conflict, and my own experiences growing up here. Many visitors describe the tour as eye-opening and meaningful, not just a sightseeing experience, but a chance to understand the city and its people on a deeper level. Whether you’re a traveler, student, or someone working in an NGO or media, you’re welcome to join. I’m always happy to adapt the tour to your interests and questions. What to Expect ? Duration: Full day (around 4–6 hours) Language: English Small group or private tours available Walking through both H1 and H2 areas Opportunities to meet local residents and artisans What Guests Say ? People who join my tour often mention how informative and personal the experience is. They appreciate the honest perspective, the opportunity to visit both sides of the city, and the stories that bring Hebron’s history and present to life. Many say it’s “the most meaningful experience” of their trip and that “you’ll never see Hebron the same way again.
